DARKROOM COURSE

6x6 Centre for Photography continues the new series of darkroom photography workshops, involving practical work in film developing and black and white photo printing. Experiment with the magic of darkroom chemicals and see your photos come to life. Leave the digital world aside and indulge in the dark by returning to the roots of analogue photography. Our darkroom workshops have been prepared for photo enthusiasts with an interest in learning and experiencing the basics of darkroom printing and processing.
 
*12 hours of theory and practice (four 3-hour meetings, once a week)*
*Small groups of maximum 4 persons. Anyone over 16 is admitted.*
*If you don't own an analogue camera, you may borrow one from the Centre for a short period of time.* 
 
Course Outline:

  • Theoretical introduction to analogue photography and the darkroom

  • Photographing on film

  • Black & White film developing 

  • Printing of negatives (contact sheet) 

  • Enlargement and developing 

  • Experimental Photograms
