Η έκθεση φωτογραφίας “Cyprus, a Long Exposure” έχει ως στόχο να αποτυπώσει και να παρουσιάσει γνωστά και άγνωστα τοπία της Κύπρου μέσα από μια διαφορετική ματιά. Μετά από ένα φωτογραφικό ταξίδι 2 χρόνων και εστιάζοντας στην ανάδειξη και προβολή των ομορφιών του νησιού μας, η έκθεση περιλαμβάνει μια προσεκτική επιλογή ασπρόμαυρων φωτογραφιών που απορρέουν από αυτή την προσπάθεια.
About the Exhibition:
“Cyprus, a Long Exposure” photography exhibition aims to provide a unique perspective for both known and unknown locations of Cyprus. Concluding a 2 year photographic journey across the island and with a strong focus on discovering and exposing its diverse beauty, the exhibition comprises a careful selection of the most distinctive black and white photographs that derive from this effort.

Ο Γιάννος Ζαχαρίου αντλεί έμπνευση από την ίδια τη ζωή. Ξεπερνά το ορατό και βλέπει μία άλλη πραγματικότητα. Ξέρει πολύ καλά ότι «η ζωή είναι αλλού». Η ίδιά του η οικογένεια τον εμπνέει και του μαθαίνει πως για να κάνεις ένα κβαντικό άλμα πρέπει να αντιληφθείς πως όλα στη ζωή είναι πιθανά. Η δική του φωτογραφική ματιά απαθανατίζει μια διαφορετική ενέργεια, που δίνει στον κόσμο μία άλλη ερμηνεία. Η ενέργεια αυτή μεταμορφώνεται στα μάτια του Γιάννου δημιουργώντας μια άλλη πραγματικότητα.
Yiannos Zachariou draws inspiration from life itself. He goes beyond the visible and sees another reality. He knows that “life is elsewhere”. His very family has inspired him and taught him that to take a quantum leap, you understand that anything in life is possible. So his seeing eye, captures a different energy and the world takes on a “new meaning”. It is transformed in Yiannos’ eyes, and creates a new reality.

6th Annual Mobile Photography Awards world premiere at 6x6 Centre for Photography
We are excited and proud to announce that The 6th Annual Mobile Photography Awards gallery exhibit will have its world premiere in Cyprus at the 6x6 Centre for Photography in February 2017 - lots more details to follow!
The 6th Annual Mobile Photography Awards will be open for submissions in October! The submission period this year is October 11th - December 4th, 2016.
The MPA will award a $3000 Grand Prize in addition to all kinds of awesome giveaways from fantastic mobile photo gear makers and service providers.
The MPA remains the world's longest running international competition and gallery show exclusively for images shot and edited on mobile devices.
6-week photography course starts 22nd september 2016
Join our practical photography courses for all levels organised on a six week basis (in small groups or one-to-one). A simple and comprehensible learning method is applied, including theory of photography, Photoshop techniques, hands-on photographic sessions, outdoor photography and studio photography (in the Centre’s fully-equipped studio).
Food Photography Workshop with Theodosis Georgiadis
6x6 Centre for Photography organised a practical food photography workshop at Alasia Hotel, Limassol, on Saturday, 21st May 2016, with leading food photographer from Greece Theodosis Georgiadis. The workshop was organised within the framework of the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Award Exhibition, currently hosted at 6x6.
